Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, better known as CPR, is the name for the first aid technique using chest compressions to help keep a heart beating to save a life during cardiac arrest, when the heart stops beating or beats too ineffectively to circulate blood to the brain and other vital organs. Learning how to properly perform CPR is an invaluable skill that every person should learn.
