The multidisciplinary team at the BHS Sleep Center provides services and compassionate care to improve sleep patterns and quality of life.
Our Sleep Center brings together medical experts with experience in all facets of sleep disorders, including physicians specializing in cardiopulmonary disease, psychiatry and neurology. By collaborating across disciplines, we gain deeper insights into the causes of sleep disorders and are able to offer a more comprehensive, and more effective, range of treatments.
10% to 30% of adults have a hard time getting the six to eight hours of sleep required each night to restore the body’s natural energy. The BHS Sleep Center’s multidisciplinary team exists to help those suffering from the wide range of sleep disorder symptoms, including:
Our usual starting point in treating sleep disorders is a polysomnogram, either in our recently renovated Sleep Center located in the hospital or with an in-home sleep study unit in the comfort of your own home. This painless procedure monitors brain waves, heartbeat, eye movements, leg movements, breathing and oxygen levels through sensors connected to the body. The results of this test are then used to design an individual treatment plan to return your body to a natural sleeping schedule, restoring your energy, concentration and quality of life.
You can be referred to the BHS Sleep Center by any physician who suspects you may be suffering from a sleep disorder.
