Butler County Commissioners and Butler Health System Officials Together Encourage Weekend Holiday Safety

The following is a weekend message from Butler County Commissioners Leslie Osche, Kim Geyer and Kevin Boozel, along with Steven Bicehouse, Director of Emergency Management, BHS President & CEO Ken DeFurio and Chief Medical Officer David Rottinghaus, MD:

As we head into the Fourth of July weekend, Butler County Emergency Management and the Butler County Commissioners join Butler Health System in urging all residents to wear masks and practice social distancing when out in public. There has been an increase in the number of positive COVID-19 in Butler County, and we want to be sure that we are protecting our health care workers, service employees, police, first responders and our families, along with avoiding a surge in hospital admissions related to COVID-19.

Butler County Emergency Management and the Commissioners support our medical community in asserting the value of the mask, distancing and handwashing in mitigating the spread of COVID-19, and supporting our businesses and organizations in their continued successful operation.

Please: Wear a mask in public, practice social distancing of at least 6 feet, wash your hands, don’t touch your face, and if you feel at all sick, stay home.

Have a safe and restful Fourth of July weekend.
