Butler Memorial Hospital wins the John A. Hartford Foundation Tipping Point Challenge

The John A. Hartford Tipping Point Challenge is a national competition established to strengthen the skills, ideas, and solutions among clinicians to help improve health care delivery to the lives of people living with a serious illness. The Challenge is sponsored by the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) and The John A. Hartford Foundation.

Over the past year, members of Butler Health System’s Palliative Care team have been busy completing an intensive, online curriculum that included enhancing skills in communication, pain management, symptom management, and much more. The goal of the Challenge is to help health care organizations expand on their ability to effectively care for seriously ill patients and to make a positive impact on the community they serve.

The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC), who sponsored this challenge, announced the winners on February 5, 2020. Butler Memorial Hospital is one of twenty-four organizations to win this prestigious, national award. Over 1,500 health care organizations participated in the challenge.
