Butler Health System hires Chief Financial Officer

Michael Deitschmann joined BHS on Monday, October 1, as Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Deitschmann comes to Butler Health System from Mayo Clinic Florida Jacksonville. Serving more than 20 years at Mayo Clinic, Mr. Deitschmann held various Finance and Administrative positions. He spent the early years of his career in public accounting.

Mr. Deitschmann is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Middle Tennessee State University. He has served on various local boards, including American Diabetes Association, American Lung Association, and YMCA. Mr. Deitschmann has participated in Junior Achievement and Big Brother/Big Sister programs.

Mr. Deitschmann is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He currently serves as Treasurer of the North Florida Chapter of ACHE.

Mr. Deitschmann is married with two children, a twenty-three year old son and a five year old son. He and his wife are in the process of moving to Butler County.
