Butler Memorial Hospital to participate in National Compliance and Ethics Week; Planned events to focus on the importance of acting lawfully and ethically

Keeping up its tradition of encouraging employees to follow the highest of standards, Butler Health System announced today that it will be participating in a Corporate Compliance event organized each year by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics & Health Care Compliance Association. (SCCE & HCCA) This year it is being held the week of November 26, 2018. BHS Compliance and Ethics Week will be a fabulous week-long celebration of compliance and ethics with a focus on:

  • Awareness –A compliance booth/table on Monday Nov. 26 located in the tower lobby
  • Recognition – taking the opportunity to recognize departments or groups for stellar training completion records as well as launching a “Compliance Kudos” section of employee newsletter to spotlight positive compliance champions.
  •  Reinforcement – take the opportunity to reinforce that all levels of the BHS organization supports a culture of compliance.

Corporate Compliance and Ethics Week is an extension of Butler Memorial Hospital’s ongoing compliance and ethics program. It is also a great opportunity to celebrate BHS’s new Chief Compliance Officer, Hillary Harlan who stated, “I am beyond thrilled to be a part of the mission and vision at BHS and to carry forward the team-oriented culture that is so evident in this organization.” Company-wide compliance and ethics education, held (annually, twice a year, quarterly) provides the opportunity to roll-out new and updated compliance and ethics program policies and reinforces with employees their compliance and ethics’ obligations.
