  • Private rooms in our specialized rehabilitation unit for your comfort.
  • Located within Clarion Hospital with access to lab, radiology, diagnostic and in-house physician services.
  • Your stay with us begins with an assessment to determine the level of therapy that you require to re-master the skills of daily living.
  • Your therapy will begin as early as your first day, with sessions at least five days a week.

Your Stay With Us

We work with individuals of all ages with temporary or permanent functional disabilities. Our intensive rehabilitation program is designed to accelerate recovery and provide for better outcomes.

We treat a diverse range of disabling injuries and illnesses including, but not limited to:

What to bring with you:

  • Books, knitting, or other things to fill your time
  • Cosmetics and other personal toiletries
  • Glasses, hearing aids, and other personal items
  • Insurance cards
  • Night clothes
  • Robe
  • Sneakers
  • Sweater
  • Three changes of clothes (comfortable pants or shorts)

A Typical Day at the Inpatient Rehabilitation Center

We understand every patient differs in their daily routine. During your assessment, our staff creates a personalized schedule to promote healing and accelerated recovery. Your day begins with our staff assisting in morning grooming and dressing for the day.

8:00 am breakfast is served

  • Morning physical therapy and occupational therapy

12:00 pm lunch is served

  • Afternoon physical therapy and occupational therapy

5:00 pm dinner is served followed by free time with visitors

*Speech therapy may be included in treatment schedule as directed by physician

Our Team

Medical Director

Thomas J. Freenock, Jr., MD, a board certified physiatrist, who leads our team in developing a treatment plan that’s specific to our patients needs.

Primary Care Physician

Your physician works closely with our team to ensure all medical needs of our patient are being addressed.

Physical Therapy

Our physical therapists create an exercise program for our patients to improve strength, stamina and muscle function.

Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapists work with our patients mastering daily activities such as dressing, toileting, grooming and meal preparation to enhance our patients overall independence.

Speech Therapy

Our speech therapists work with patients to develop swallowing, speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Our therapist may train the patient to use alternate communication devices if speech is not possible.

Rehabilitation Nurse

Our nursing staff supervise the 24-hour care of our patients and reinforce instructions of our other team members to promote healing.

Registered Dietitian

Our dietitian assesses the patients nutritional status, develops a meal plan that supports the patients medical and functional needs.

Social Services & Case Manager

Social Services and Case Manager are a central information and referral source beginning on the day of admission. They can arrange for services, medical supplies and home equipment. They work with each patient regarding advance directives and referrals to other community services.

Rehab Close to Home

Having family near while you recover is important in the recovery process. Family and friends are encouraged to participate in the treatment plan as your loved one works with our team to regain motor and social skills.

Visiting Hours

Our visiting hours are tailored to our patients therapy needs. Please check with your nurse to see what times are appropriate to receive visitors. Children and pets are welcome ~ certain rules apply. Please note that latex balloons are not permitted as there are a high number of latex allergies. Mylar balloons are acceptable.
