Clarion Hospital Appoints New CEO
The Clarion Health Care System Board of Directors announced October 24th that Byron Quinton will assume the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Clarion Hospital on December 10, 2007.
Mr. Quinton will be leaving Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee, where he has been CEO for four years. Prior to that, he was the administrator at Humboldt General Hospital in Winnemucca, Nevada for 13 years.
Mr. Quinton received his bachelor’s degree in 1975 from the Portland State University in Oregon. He went on to obtain a master’s in healthcare administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Quinton’s wife, Margie, is a native of Pennsylvania. They have five grown children.
In his spare time, Mr. Quinton officiates high school sporting events and also enjoys jogging and bicycling.
“My wife and I are exited to move to Clarion,” he exclaims. “Clarion Hospital is such a dynamic organization. It is very rare to see a rural hospital with a cancer center and the number of specialty physicians that Clarion has. We are pleased to be a part of it.”
